The Candela GentleMax Pro pairs a 755 nm Alexandrite with a 1064 nm Nd:YAG and cools the skin with a cryogen burst a fraction of a second before each pulse. That is what makes it safe on deeper skin tones and bearable on the areas people dread.
How the treatment worksCryogen cooling versus air cooling
Both are ways of protecting the skin while the laser works. They are not equivalent, and the difference shows up most on the areas people find hardest and on deeper skin tones.

Why six
Hair grows in cycles. The laser only catches it in one of them.
Only the hairs actively growing on the day of your session respond to the laser. The rest are dormant, and no setting reaches them. That is why one session never finishes the job — and why six is priced as the obvious choice. It is the clinical minimum, not an upsell.

At Bare Beauty Collective, laser hair removal starts at $35 a session for the eyebrow center. Every one of our 28 areas is priced online, and packages of 3 sessions save about 5% while 6 sessions save about 10%. Full body is $1,200 a session or $6,480 for six.
How many laser hair removal sessions will I need?
Plan for a minimum of six sessions, about four weeks apart. Some areas, especially hormonally driven facial hair, need up to twelve. The laser only treats hair in its active growth phase, which is why it takes a series.
Does laser hair removal work on darker skin tones?
Yes. We use the Candela GentleMax Pro, which pairs a 755 nm Alexandrite for lighter skin with a 1064 nm Nd:YAG for deeper skin, plus cryogen cooling before every pulse. Settings are chosen at your in-person assessment, never from a photo.
Does laser hair removal work on blonde, red, grey or white hair?
Usually not. The laser finds hair by its pigment, and grey or white hair has none. Electrolysis is the better option for those hairs, and we will tell you so before you pay.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
It gives permanent hair reduction, not total removal. After a full series most people keep only a fraction of their hair, finer and lighter. Occasional touch-ups are normal.
